Even the evaluation infrastructure itself can now become part of the attack surface.
Dawn Song · Professor

The sandbox built to test the agent was breached by the agent — even the exam hall is attack surface now.

In the real world we cannot run faster than the physical time. … On the other hand we're bounded by compute time — computers are getting better and better, we can actually run faster than real time, and we just scale across GPUs instead of robots.
Sanja Fidler · Associate Professor

The core argument: robotics scales only by leaving physical time behind.

Depending on how you define AGI, we might have gotten to AGI either 30 years ago, or quite possibly not yet for many decades.
Andrew Ng × Alfred Lin · Andrew Ng — Founder

The AGI timeline debate, restated as a definitions debate.

Fundamentally, you don't know what you don't know, right? You cannot think about all the corner or future cases until you see them.
Ion Stoica · Co-Founder

The root reason the requirement gap can't be closed — it isn't laziness about specs, it's that the spec cannot be written.

About these notes

Colophon

The Agentic AI Summit 2026 was hosted by Berkeley RDI (Center for Responsible, Decentralized Intelligence) on the UC Berkeley campus, August 1–2, 2026 — around 5,000 in-person attendees plus a global livestream, spanning foundation models, agent frameworks, evaluation, infrastructure and safety.

These notes were compiled from the official livestream recordings and their auto-generated transcripts, then cross-checked against the official agenda. Speaker names, titles and affiliations follow the official program; proper nouns that could not be verified are tracked in an open to-verify list rather than guessed.

This is an unofficial, non-commercial study resource. Notes may contain transcription errors — always refer to the original recordings for exact wording. Full notes, source transcripts and the to-verify list live in the GitHub repository.
